Westbourne School Community Supports Salvation Army Foodbank

The Westbourne School community has once again shown generosity and compassion through an outstanding collection of food donations for the Salvation Army Foodbank. These donations will directly support individuals and families experiencing homelessness and hardship in Sheffield.
Well done to all the children who brought in donations for our Harvest Festival Foodbank appeal – and congratulations to Whitfield House, the winners of this year’s collection! A big thank you also to our House Captains, whose fantastic posters helped encourage their Houses to get involved.
Our community spirit shone brightly, with pupils, parents and staff contributing a wide range of store cupboard essentials and non-perishable items. Together, these donations will make a real difference to the lives of those in need.
A special thanks must go to Mrs Swift, who organises our regular foodbank collections. Her dedication ensures Westbourne continues to play an active role in supporting the wider community throughout the year.
This initiative is a wonderful example of our school value of Respect – showing care, empathy and responsibility beyond our classrooms and into the world around us.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils and families for living out our values in such a meaningful way.
