Westbourne Sports Scholars Inspired by Behind-the-Scenes Visit to Bramall Lane
Last week, Westbourne School’s Sports Scholars enjoyed an inspiring visit to Bramall Lane, gaining valuable insight into the pivotal role Sheffield United plays within our local community.
During the visit, pupils explored a variety of post-16 pathways, including the rapidly growing world of Esports, and discovered the breadth of opportunities available within the sports industry. From understanding key business operations — such as finance, roles and responsibilities — to seeing first-hand how a major club engages with its supporters and community, the experience offered a rich and engaging look into potential future careers.
Staff were delighted to see pupils so motivated by the visit, returning to school with a renewed sense of ambition and curiosity about where their sporting talents could take them.
