With Christmas fast approaching, the edition embraces the festive season with articles examining the pros and cons of different Christmas trees and a lively debate on Christmas vs Consumerism. This issue also proudly launches a brand-new regular feature: Lyra’s Fashion Files.

Additional updates include:

  • Westbourne Christmas Fayre – Secret Santa Book Stall:
    The SS Library team has been busily preparing beautifully wrapped new and nearly new books for the upcoming stall. Books are priced at £2.50 each or five for £10, with all proceeds supporting the school library.

  • A Christmas Carol Theatre Trip – Wednesday 10 December:
    A reminder for Year 11 pupils attending the performance at The Crucible. The play is expected to finish at approximately 4.15pm for those being collected from the theatre. Pupils returning by coach should arrive back at Westbourne at around 4.45pm.
