Welcome from the Head of Senior School
Our Senior School is the culmination of the Westbourne journey - an opportunity for all our pupils to grow and mature both in and out of the classroom.
All pupils are members of a Vertical Tutor Group, where they meet daily with pupils from a cross-section of the Senior School (Years 7-11). This builds strong relationships across the school and fosters opportunities for leadership and coaching in our older pupils. The Form Tutor remains a consistent first point of contact for the pupils and their family throughout the five years of Senior School.
PSHE (Personal, Social & Health Education) is at the heart of every Year group’s curriculum, taught by specialists and focusing on key age-appropriate issues for pupils beyond their academic studies. It encompasses Relationships & Sex Education, as well as a programme of advice and support for our older pupils as they prepare to move on to post-16 education after their GCSEs.
