Wrap around Care

 

 

Prep is a wraparound Care service, used as a Homework Club for pupils in Year 5 to Year 11, Pupils can do homework or other educational activities supervised by staff.

Prep Sessions Information

  • Half Prep: Includes prep tea and concludes at 4:45 pm.
  • Full Prep: Includes prep tea and concludes at 5:15 pm.
  • Prep Tea: Served in the dining room from 3:45 pm to 4:00 pm.

Pupils will sign themselves up for prep during morning registration. If they are attending an after-school activity and wish to join prep afterwards, they should inform their form tutor at the same time.

Please note: There is no charge for prep sessions or prep tea.

Reception - Year 6 Breakfast Club in Junior School Dining Room 7:30 - 8:15

Please note this service is supervised by staff and is only available to Junior School children who absolutely need it and where no alternative arrangements can be made. 

Our supervised Breakfast club with Mrs Swift starts at 7.30am, and finishes at 8.15am, this is booked in advance as wraparound care for your child and there is a charge of £5 for this service. Children have an option of cereal, crumpets, toast, fruit and yogurts for breakfast although this stops being served from 8am. Children can still attend from 8am although they will not be offered breakfast. Booking forms for this are released half termly and available on the parent portal.

 

A relaxed, family-friendly start to the day, open from 7.30am. Attended with a parent or carer, families sign in on arrival and enjoy a delicious breakfast from the servery, from fresh fruit and yoghurt to bacon sandwiches, pancakes or even eggs Benedict.

Children can be dropped off at school as usual between 8.15am and 8.30am. If needed, pupils can be handed over to Mrs Swift in our supervised Breakfast Club from 8.00am onwards.

At our After School Club (ASC), we offer a wide range of fun and creative activities to engage the children. Each session includes a variety of craft activities, with resources readily available for children to choose from, allowing them to explore their creativity freely.

We also provide sports and outdoor play opportunities throughout the year, encouraging physical activity in all seasons. For imaginative play, we have a selection of dressing-up clothes and role-play resources. Children can also enjoy den building, with materials provided for both indoor and outdoor structures. Additionally, we offer a variety of board games and number games to support cognitive development in an enjoyable way.

We also provide a Prep tea for the children attending ASC which includes a variety of sandwiches, fruit and other healthy snacks. 

After School Club (ASC) Details:

  • From 3.30pm - 6pm
  • Available for children up to Year 4
  • Children in Year 5 and 6 can attend if prior agreement with the Head of Juniors from 5.15pm - 6pm following Prep. 
  • Charged at £2.50 per half-hour or £5.00 per hour

Booking System:

Bookings are made on a half-termly basis for parents who require regular sessions. However, changes can still be made after your initial booking. Alternatively, children can be booked into either Prep or ASC on the day, subject to availability. Booking forms can be found on the Parent Portal.
