Our Junior School was upgraded in 2022 with new buildings and facilities. The latest improvements support our commitment to small class sizes and personalised learning for every pupil. The two-storey building features a sports and performing arts hall. Head teacher Mr Edmanson office, Years 1, 2 and 4 are taught in these classrooms.

Our youngest learners benefit from two purpose-built classrooms that flow effortlessly into outdoor play areas, creating an inspiring environment for exploration and growth.

Upper Yard is a vibrant outdoor space at Westbourne School, covered in astro turf to provide a safe and versatile play area for all-year-round use. It serves as a hub of activity during break times, giving pupils a space to run, play, and socialise. The astro surface also supports a variety of sports, including football and hockey, ensuring that pupils can develop their skills and stay active in all weather conditions.

The Covered Yard at Westbourne School ensures that Junior School pupils can enjoy outdoor play all year round, whatever the weather. This sheltered space provides a dedicated area for break times, allowing children to stay active and socialise without being confined indoors on rainy days because at Westbourne, there’s no such thing as a ‘wet play’ break!

This part of Westbourne School is home to Year 3, 5 and 6 classrooms, a drama studio, and the Junior School Library, providing a quiet space for reading and study. It also includes the office of Mr Hawker, our Head of Junior School. It’s a lively and engaging space where pupils learn, create, and grow. The building houses our whole-school lunch hall, where Chef Dylan and his team prepare nutritious and delicious meals for pupils and staff every day.

Westbourne Place is a dynamic hub for our Senior School pupils, featuring a fully equipped Food Technology kitchen. This building also houses our Humanities subjects, including Geography and History, as well as our Mathematics department. The gardens at the back provide a tranquil space where pupils can take their learning outdoors during the summer months.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main school campus, our Garden and Wellbeing Studio is a peaceful sanctuary for pupils. Offering a calming environment, this space nurtures wellbeing and relaxation.

A blend of history and creativity, the Coach House is home to our Senior School Natural History, Art, and Photography departments. With its original beams and characterful design, this beautiful building provides an inspiring space for artistic expression and discovery.

Ashdell House is home to key Senior School academic subjects, including PSHE, French, Chemistry, and Spanish. It also houses our Biology lab and the Senior School Library, providing pupils with a quiet space for study and research.

A multi-purpose Senior School playground, used all year round for sports, and outdoor activities

Nestled within a Victorian sunken garden, The Dell is a hidden gem dedicated to outdoor learning. Our Forest School has been awarded the Wildlife Trust's Wild School Award. Equipped with a fire circle, outdoor kitchen, and shelters, this natural space is a favourite among both Junior and Senior School pupils, encouraging hands-on exploration and adventure. The Dell is run by Mr Magenty, a teacher and trained Forest School leader.
