Westbourne GCSE Music Pupils, The Melancholy
Westbourne GCSE Music Pupils Return to Sidney & Matilda with Their Band, The Melancholy
Westbourne’s very own GCSE Music band, The Melancholy, are preparing for their return to the iconic Sheffield venue, Sidney & Matilda, on 17th September.
The band first performed there during Harmony Fest, where they received a fantastic response from an enthusiastic audience. Now, they are excited to be back, this time opening the night alongside two other talented bands.
Formed at Westbourne’s annual WestFest event, The Melancholy has quickly grown in confidence and stage presence. The group is made up of Sofia (vocals), Max (drums), Hao Hao (guitar) and Jack (bass), with Hannah stepping up as the band’s manager. Together, they’ve been honing their sound and building a strong following.
We wish The Melancholy every success as they take to the stage once again — a brilliant example of Westbourne pupils embracing creativity, teamwork and real-world performance opportunities.
