Year 10’s Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Our Year 10 pupils have made an excellent start to their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, beginning their journey with an expedition in the Peak District.
Throughout the day, pupils demonstrated impressive teamwork, navigation skills and growing confidence as they explored the challenging terrain. Working together to plan routes, overcome obstacles and support one another, they truly embodied the spirit of adventure that the DofE Award encourages.
Underpinning every step of the expedition were our School Values: Excellence, Inclusion, Resilience and Respect. These qualities shone through as pupils encouraged their teammates, persevered through challenges and celebrated each other’s successes.
“It was wonderful to see our Year 10 pupils embrace their DofE with such enthusiasm and teamwork. They truly embodied our school values throughout the expedition — I’m very proud of them all.”
— Mr Birbeck, Head of Senior School
The day was a fantastic introduction to what promises to be an inspiring DofE journey. Well done to all our Year 10 participants for their enthusiasm, determination and positive attitude — we look forward to seeing them continue to flourish as the programme progresses.
