Music Ensemble

At Westbourne, we’re incredibly proud of our talented music ensembles – a true testament to the dedication and passion of our amazing music teachers, Mrs Stroud and Mr King. From harmonies to high notes, they inspire our pupils every day.
On Tuesday we held our Whole School Summer Ensembles Concert in the Main Hall, which featured performances by Junior and Senior School Choirs, Beginner and Advanced Ensembles and Guitar Group. Students from Y3 up to Y10 performed a huge range of music from Bach to Oasis, with songs from music from film TV and musical theatre. Pupils have worked really hard in rehearsals this term and it was fantastic to see them all performing with such confidence. The finale featured all the pupils playing and singing together in an arrangement of Snow Patrol's "Run" which was a really uplifting end the afternoon.
Thank you to all the musicians who performed in last night’s concert, and to everyone who came along to show their support.
"Thank you Mr King and Mrs Stroud for a fabulous ensemble concert last night and all the work that went into this.
Thanks for all of your continued efforts; they're greatly appreciated"
"Massive thanks to Mrs Stroud and Mr King for a wonderful music concert. We know how much hard work goes into these events and it was absolutely brilliant, one of the best yet! The kids were all fabulous! As parents of 3 children across Junior and Senior school we love events that bring the whole school together. Watching Y3 up to Y10 perform, support and encourage each other is one of the reasons we love Westbourne and the community it creates. Mr King and Mrs Stroud have certainly hit the ground running!"
