Mr Sam Glover
Designated Safeguarding Lead
I’m passionate about helping pupils thrive, both in the classroom and through sport and I feel proud to be part of a school where potential is truly recognised and realised.
My journey in education began at Westbourne in 2013, where I completed my training. Since then, I've consistently benefited from the school's commitment to professional development and growth. This culture of encouraging individuals to step outside their comfort zones resonates deeply with my own philosophy. However, it's the strong sense of community at Westbourne that truly makes me proud and fuels my enthusiasm for coming to work each day.
My passion for helping others reach their potential has been a driving force throughout my life. This initially manifested through coaching lacrosse, a sport that has profoundly shaped me. Lacrosse provided me with invaluable experiences, including postgraduate studies in the United States and the privilege of being an assistant coach with the England team at European and World Championships. Consequently, I am a passionate advocate for the integral role of sport in a well-rounded and inspiring curriculum.
At the heart of my educational philosophy lies the belief in the power of relationships. I am convinced that fostering meaningful connections, built on mutual respect and trust, unlocks extraordinary possibilities for both individuals and the community as a whole.
