Whole School PSHE/RSE Coordinator Safeguarding DSD & Pupil Voice Y3 Class Teacher

My passion for well-being and holistic development drives my work with the PSHE curriculum at Westbourne, ensuring it is inclusive, engaging, and empowers our pupils to confidently navigate an ever-changing world.

With 10 years of teaching experience, including four years at Westbourne, I have gained a thorough understanding of the crucial role PSHE plays in shaping well-rounded, resilient, and informed young people. My journey in education has taken me from state schools to leadership as Head of Campus in Bangkok, giving me a broad perspective on the diverse needs of pupils.

Currently nearing the completion of a master's in Educational Psychology, my studies have broadened my knowledge of how to create an inclusive teaching environment that provides meaningful learning experiences, supported by research-driven strategies. This focus is reflected in the way PSHE is coordinated across all year groups, from Reception to Year 11.

Pastoral care has always been central to my teaching philosophy, inspiring both the pursuit of my master's and role as PSHE coordinator. With a strong focus on well-being, I have experience running sessions on emotional regulation, yoga, and mindfulness, supporting students at various stages of development.

My passion for well-being and holistic development drives my work with the PSHE curriculum at Westbourne, ensuring it is inclusive, engaging, and empowers our students to confidently navigate an ever-changing world.

In addition to my role as PSHE Coordinator, I am also the Pupil Voice Coordinator and a Year 3 class teacher.
