I began my teaching career as a Maths teacher in large, successful comprehensive schools near my “alma mater” of Cambridge in the 1990s. I have always enjoyed the challenge of making this apparently complex subject seem simple, and I hope I have succeeded for my many pupils over the years!

I came to Westbourne as a Maths teacher in 2007, and immediately felt I had found the school where I really belonged. I was appointed as Head of Senior School in 2012, and it has been my privilege and pleasure to lead the Senior School from strength to strength for more than a decade.

The best thing about schools is the unending surprise and variety of working with young people, and the best thing about Westbourne is the way the school enables staff and pupils to work together as a family to build knowledge, skills, character and humanity - truly the “Westbourne Way”.
