Resilience
Resilience
From her very first days at Westbourne School, Aahana has embraced every aspect of the Performing Arts. Whether acting, singing, or dancing, her enthusiasm and dedication shine through in every performance.
“I love everything about Drama, from performing to singing to dancing. My passion began when I first started Westbourne in Reception,”

Her journey in theatre has led to many memorable experiences, but one of her proudest moments was playing Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Easy Street Theatre Company. This role challenged her creativity and deepened her love for performance.
Westbourne has played a role in nurturing Aahana’s talent, providing her with the confidence and skills to grow as a performer. The drama curriculum explores a wide range of topics, including slapstick, mime, and improvisation, all of which have helped develop her stage presence and expressive abilities.
“The way Westbourne teaches Drama is amazing. We study all kinds of topics that boost our confidence and skills, and I’ve learned so much about expressing emotions and working with others to create a great show,” she explains.
Beyond the classroom, Westbourne offers an array of extracurricular activities such as Drama, Music, and LAMDA Club, all of which have helped Aahana refine her abilities and prepare for the future.
“Aahana’s passion for performance shines through in everything she does. Through Westbourne’s Drama curriculum and LAMDA programme, she has developed not only technical skills in acting, voice, and movement but also confidence, resilience, and a deep appreciation for storytelling.
Watching her grow from her early drama lessons to taking on challenging roles at Easy Street Theatre with such creativity and expression has been truly inspiring. Aahana has become a terrific comedy actor, and I have no doubt she will continue to thrive in the world of performance."

“The teachers are really supportive, and they help me get better every day. I’m excited to keep learning here because I know it will help me become the best performer I can be!”
Aahana’s mother, Sonu, has seen first-hand how Westbourne has helped her daughter flourish in the Performing Arts.
“From the moment Aahana joined Reception, she was given the tools, guidance, and support needed to cultivate her natural abilities,” she says. “Through Drama lessons, school productions, and working on LAMDA pieces, she has gained confidence, stage presence, and a deep passion for performing.”
Aahana’s experience in drama has had a profound impact on her personal growth. From her earliest performances to more advanced roles, each experience has helped her become more expressive and self-assured.
“Her drama experiences have empowered her to become more confident, expressive, and resilient, not just in performances but in everyday life as well,”
Sonu reflects.
Westbourne’s commitment to fostering confidence and self-belief in its students is evident in Aahana’s journey. The school’s supportive environment ensures that every child is encouraged to explore their passions and develop their talents to the fullest.
“Seeing Aahana excel in something she loves is incredibly fulfilling,” says Sonu. “It fills me with pride to see her joy and confidence grow through the Performing Arts. Knowing she has the support of her school to follow her passion reassures me that she is on a path that will bring her happiness and personal growth.”
