Children travel to Westbourne from across Sheffield and further afield

Our school can be accessed by regular bus routes. In addition there are a number of parent operated bus routes which bring pupils to schools in the Broomhill area from surrounding areas, including Chesterfield, Deepcar, Dronfield, Dore, Tankersley, Thurcroft, Tickhill, Whiston, Worksop and the Hope Valley.

**Please note our school bus service will resume on Tuesday 8th September 2020. In line with the current Health and Safety Legislation the following measures will be put in place:

Maximise social distancing where possible and minimise the risk of transmission.

Asking pupils to use a regular seat on their transport.

Making sure boarding and disembarking is orderly and/or managed.

Making sure vehicles are cleaned regularly.

Ensuring the flow of fresh air is maximised.

Dore Bus

We are delighted to announce that due to popular demand we are operating an extra bus service from Dore to Westbourne School starting from the new academic year 2020/2021, (8th September 2020).

The fare is £5.00 per day, or £3.00 for a single trip, booked in advance. For the service to be viable, the booking must be for a full week at a time. To book your place please contact Ashlie Morton/Bursar at email amorton@westbourneschool.co.uk or vkhan@westbourneschool.co.uk.

Payment is by banks transfer to Westbourne School. Your driver will be Mr Matthew Naughton, his contact number is 07572091465 .

As this is a new service, the departure time is currently set at 7.50am and may be revised nearer to the start of term. Please refer to the website for any updates.

Peak District Bus

We are delighted to announce that due to popular demand we are operating a bus service from the Derbyshire Dales and the High Peak to Westbourne School.

The fare is £6.20 per day, initially booked weekly in advance. For the service to be viable, the booking must be for a full week at a time. To book your place please contact Ashlie Morton at Westbourne School on 0114 2660374

Payment is by cheque to Westbourne School, initially on a weekly basis to be paid to the driver on the Monday morning.

Parking/Drop Off/Waiting

For those families who bring their children to school by car we would like to ask if you could drop them off away from the school campus when ever possible - Senior School children in particular should be able to safely walk a short distance.

Ashdell, the link road between Junior and Senior School and the area right outside the school gates has double yellow lines, please can we ask that you do not wait on the double yellow lines at the end of the school day. This not only causes unnecessary congestion, but more importantly puts our children's lives at risk.
