2020 - Celebrating another year of excellent results

We were immensely proud that 88.2% of our pupils achieved the equivalent of five or more A*-C/ 9-4 grades (including English and maths),
and over a third of our students achieved at least one grade A equivalent*.
In our scholarship group, who are selected on ability, 100% of pupils passed five or more GCSEs at A*-C/ 9-4 grades and 83% passed all of their exams at least grade A equivalent*
with a number of pupils achieving grade 9 in almost all of their subjects.
*Grade 7s replace grade A in the new GCSE.

We do not have an entrance exam, instead pupils are accepted on their own merit and this proves very popular with the discerning parent. We focus instead on individualised learning, offering every child the opportunity to excel and to be the best that they can be.

This approach to teaching and learning has an excellent success rate with enviable GCSE results. Westbourne was voted “Top School in Sheffield and 7th Nationwide” by the Sunday Times School Guide 2018*, (of the top fee paying schools with small or no sixth forms.)
