In my box I will put
The excitement of a small puppy, the giddiness of his tail wagging,
Buster will be my companion; he will share my thoughts
and we will dance on the marshmallow carpet together.
In my box I will put
The melting of soft-centred chocolates,
The taste and smell of every planet I visit
A snowman to taste the cold weather when I am in North India.
In my box I will put
my Mummy's laughter, forever smiling,
her warmth, safeness, love and security
her scarf, her smell and the softness of her kiss.
In my box I will put
The comfort of a teddy bear that I felt when I was young
The happy memories of fun-filled laughter
The excitement of life's adventure.
In my box I will put a bed of relaxation
The sinking into a pillow and the falling into a dream,
The innocence of Kipper by Mick Inkpen for a bed time story
And all the colours dreams are made of.
Tommie's magic box will be made from
branches from the trees that change colour with the seasons
and finally I will throw in a hint of sunshine and specks of
moondust to tell me whether it is day or night
and when to close the lid.
