Sports
Sport plays a large part in Westbourne life. We encourage all pupils to live an active lifestyle which we hope will follow them into adulthood. Mr Elvidge and Miss Cowley teach PE from the Reception Class right through to GCSE level at S10/11, providing every pupil from Year 3 to Year 9 with the opportunity to participate in competitive fixtures. Expert coaching of all pupils, irrespective of their perceived sporting ability, and access to the best facilities in the city for all students is the underlying philosophy or sporting opportunities at Westbourne. (Please see Sports Grounds).

Sports Trips
Sports trips have included tours to Holland, Venice, Barcelona, Malta and throughout England.

Gifted and Talented
We push our talented boys and girls to trial at County and National level. Many of our footballers are signed to local professional clubs; we have hockey players representing South Yorkshire as well as pupils representing their country in sports such as swimming and diving.
