To celebrate several birthdays in October, we made birthday buns.
This was a lovely activity where the children could weigh, measure, mix, handle equipment, etc and be taught about the cooking process. It was our very own like little Bake Off. We also talked about healthy eating – how it’s ok to have buns occasionally but not all the time. We then sat down to enjoy the fruits of our labour... a delicious reward for all our hard work.
