Scuba diving is the new craze

Once it was conkers or hopscotch, but school children today are opting for more
exciting activities, like scuba diving.
Westbourne School already have several stars and head teacher John Hicks, an experienced
diver himself, is now planning to add scuba lessons to the school’s long list of activities
and clubs.
“Scuba diving is not only fun, but it teaches important team building lessons,” explains
John. “You have to take responsibility for your partner and in turn learn to rely on them to
watch out for you.”
Scuba diving has already produced two up and coming stars at Westbourne School.
Olivia Moore has won a scuba scholarship from ‘Scuba Dooba’, having completed a PADI
test. Olivia is now qualified to dive to 18 metres. James Aaron also recently passed the test.
