The new Ashdell Grove campus boasts science, music and ICT suites as well as a new assembly and seminar room, student café and main school reception. There are several new classrooms designed specially for the small teaching groups at Westbourne. The Year 7 and 8 classes are currently averaging about 12 students each.
Nick Clegg said: "I am delighted to open this new facility at Westbourne School. It is good to see what was effectively a derelict building turned into such good use with such high tech facilities."
