Scholarship Examination Day 2019 - Monday January 21st (see NEWS section)

On the perfect summer’s evening our Year 6 More Able pupils delighted us with an open air performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. William Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, was written around 1595 and portrays the adventures of four young lovers and a group of amateur actors, their interactions with woodland fairies and a duke and duchess. The Dell became the mythical Athens and the enchanted forest; where a handsome fairy king, (Ben Hartog), a beautiful fairy queen, (Elizabeth Goodfellow), a misguided parent, (Yasmin Afandi), star-crossed lovers, (Francesca Gray, Charlotte Jolley, Malakai Verona and Harvey Nguru), a weaver who’s transformed into a half-donkey, (Luca Cancello) wood sprites and elves live.

Well done to our young actors who portrayed the characters with flair and thank you to James Billingham, Year 8, for designing the programme.
