On Tuesday 8th November Westbourne took to the stage at the iconic Leadmill - the mainstay of the Sheffield live music scene. The Leadmill sees some of the  leading bands from across the country regularly playing at its venue. Pulp, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys are just some of the bands who’ve played there, however for one night only, Westbourne music makers took centre stage.

Our Samba Band brought the roof down and set the scene for our talented acts. We heard from groups such as Cold Blood, Station Lane and enjoyed a welcome return from our staff band Chalk Face, who along with a whole gamut of talented acts, rocked into the night.

More than 200 super fans turned up in the form of staff, students and parents for an absolutely memorable night. The talent on display and the confidence shown from our Year 5 to Year 11 performers was incredible!

"Our acts showed the diversity of talent at Westbourne. What a great experience for the children to be able to perform in a real band venue and at such an iconic location. I hope this will inspire the children and make them hungry for more," said Mr Woodward, Head of Junior School Music.
