The Government benchmark of 5 A* to C grades or more, was achieved by 90% of the students, a fantastic result for a school with an open entry.
Some independent schools restrict entry or channel some pupils away from traditional GCSEs in order to boost league table positions. Westbourne continues to believe in an open policy for all our young people, and these results are a testament to their hard work and success.
It was a true team performance in the best Westbourne spirit, but three students deserve a special
mention:
Tom Riley achieved 5 A* and 5 A grades.
Lewis Chan scored 4 A* and 5 As.
Josh Farrant and Charlie Green notched up 7 A* and A grades each.
But the congratulations go to the whole year group, many of whom achieved well beyond their predicted grades of a few years ago. It is proof positive that Westbourne adds value to every student at every ability level. We are very proud of their success and we wish them well in their future studies and careers.
