The next meeting of the Broomhill Business Breakfast is provisionally booked for 14th March 2013 from 08.00-10.00 am. In the Ashdell House French cafe classroom.

Please contact group founder and organiser, Mrs Angela Bywater on abywater@westbourneschool.co.uk for more information.

What does Westbourne hope to achieve by hosting this event?

This initiative was designed to improve the ties between the school and local business and assist these businesses to network and support each other in difficult and challenging economic times.

The idea was borne from our Community Afternoon Tea which was held in school in July 2009 and high lighted a need for such a forum.

This meeting has evolved and grown in popularity to accommodate businesses from the wider Sheffield community.

Vocational and applied education

As Westbourne extends its provision of vocational and applied education it is essential that we have expert input so that we can prepare students for the world of work.

We are constantly looking to source suitable work experience placements for our Year 10 students and hope that this might be achieved from contacts made through the Broomhill Business meetings.
