Friends of Westbourne
Over the last year Friends of Westbourne have been busy organising events for both children and
parents. The annual autumn party, which is held at Endliffe Hall, had a “Heroes and Villains” theme
last year with everyone joining in with the fancy dress. This event takes a lot of planning and
hard work from the committee but is always worth it when we see both the Children and Parents having
a great time.
The Christmas Fayre was the usual success, with games, stalls and of course Father Christmas, we
look forward to seeing you all again this year on 1st December.
May Ball
The 2007 May Ball was held at Sheffield City Hall and was a huge success, raising just short of
£6,500. The money raised bought two interactive white boards and new stage curtains for the school.
This money went towards buying two new interactive whiteboards and new stage curtains for the school.
The Ballroom looked stunning and certainly had the wow factor when the doors were opened following
the Champagne reception. The Casino proved very popular, especially amongst the gentlemen not keen
on dancing! A great time was had by all, especially the winners of the raffle and casino prizes.
Friends of Westbourne are in the process of organising the Ball for 2008, which will be on Friday 9th
May. Due to the success of last year we have managed to book the City Hall again and tickets will go
on sale at the Christmas Fayre on 1st December. The event sold out last year so please organise your
tables early to avoid disappointment. Anyone interested in sponsorship or advertising in the ball
programme should contact the school office.
We would like to thank parents for their continued support and look forward to welcoming you to
future events.
