Sports
Sport plays a large part in Westbourne life. We encourage all pupils to live an active lifestyle which we hope will follow them into adulthood. Mr Elvidge and Mrs Mirfin teach PE from the Reception Class right through to GCSE level at Year 10/11, providing every pupil from Year 3 to Year 9 with the opportunity to participate in competitive fixtures. Expert coaching of all pupils, irrespective of their perceived sporting ability, and access to the best facilities in the city for all students is the underlying philosophy or sporting opportunities at Westbourne. (Please see Sports Grounds).

Rewards
Pupils individual achievements are recognised and acknowledged in the form of stickers, certificates, medals, player of the week trophies and postcards home

House Events
Westbourne is divided into four Houses:Mercer, Holmes, Johnson and Whitfield. Pupils from Year 3 to 8 take part in house sporting events including hockey, football, rounders, rugby, cricket, athletics, swimming and the annual Westbourne Wheeze race!  Every pupil represents their house in each event.
